Dhanani Sepalika

Research Assistant

Dhanani completed her Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Applied Biology with a specialization in Biodiversity and Conservation at Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. She is currently applying to graduate programs, and her research interests are focused on behavioral ecology, evolutionary biology, lepidopterology, and ornithology.

For her undegraduate thesis, Dhanani studied the variation in play and social behavior of Asian elephant calves in Minneriya and Kaudulla National Parks, Sri Lanka, in coordination with SLEP. She has also conducted research on the diversity of birds and butterflies in Mihintale Tank, Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Dhanani is passionate about contributing to wildlife conservation projects and advancing research that supports biodiversity protection.
